Yesterday I made a delicious chicken pie for my family. I found the recipe from BBC good food and I would highly recommend it, as we all thoroughly enjoyed eating it. https://www.bbcgoodfood.com/search/recipes?query=chicken+and+mushroom+pie

The original recipe contains mushrooms but I decided to try it without and

the results were superb. I'm sure it would be just as delicious with mushrooms too.

Even though you need to boil the filling for 30 minutes and then put it in the oven for a further 30 minutes, it is definitely worth the extra time and effort. I served the pie with broccoli and chips. These were no ordinary chips! I prepared them by cutting them into small cubes and seasoning them with salt, pepper and my ( not so) secret ingredient, paprika. I put these into a hot oven for 30 minutes. Delicious! These went very nicely together: I will definitely be using this combination again!

Make sure you seal the edges of your pastry. As you can see, I didn't seal it sufficiently as some of the sauce slipped out! Still tasted magnificent!
